Shades

Danny Seo blogged about these this week. They're from Ikea, and while wicker that was manufactured in Vietnam is usually soaked in diesel fuel(?!) to make it pliable, this wicker was soaked in palm oil, making it more sustainable. Grouped like this they look really cool. And I think they'd look even better if they were dyed.

I've never been a big fan of wicker...I don't know why. For lighting it seems weird...like it would make the light dark or something. I like paper lanterns for this sort of stuff.
