Possibly cross the above design with a bit more modern inspiration, as evidenced by this bamboo bench? I would rather just have straight legs though, without the curved single leg as shown here.

This is what I was talking about last night with the solid wood stool/bedside table thing. This one's by David Brunicardi, whose work I also love. I'd love something like this, but in a more honey-rich, reddish-toned finish/varnish. Like a Russian Red Ale!
